How do I Assign an Assignment from the Gradebook?

Teachers can also make new assessment assignments, within the Gradebook, by selecting Assign New at the top right.

After selecting Assign New, teachers will need to complete a two-step process to create a new assignment.
Step 1: Select Assignment
Step 1 allows teachers to select the assessment (Digital Student Book ,ExperTrack, Vocabulary Quiz, or Custom Assessment) they would like to assign.

Selecting Gallopade tab will display the assessments from the default grade level course dropdown. Selecting the My Assessments tab will display the custom assessments created by the teacher in the My Content Module.

To filter through the list of assessments, teachers can search by
- Assignment Title,
- Assignment Status,
- Assignment Type,
- Grade level course (if subscribed to more than one.).

Select the radio button to the left of the assessment title to select the assessment.

Then scroll down and press the blue Next button to go to Step 2.
Step 2: Assign

In Step 2, customize your assignment settings:
- Assignment Title
- Assign To
- Open to any student in the class or select students
- Start Date & Time
- End Date & Time
- Allow Late Submissions
- Category
- Activity
- Exam
- Homework
- Practice
- Project
- Quiz
- Include in Reports toggle can be turned ON/OFF based on the Teacher's requirement
Additional Settings Also Available:

- Randomize Answer Choices
- Display Grades to Students
- Review Options
- Randomize Question Order
- Additional Instructions
Advanced Grading Options :
- Distribute weights evenly
- Customize weight / percentage by individual question
- Set a question to not grade using the toggle
When finished selecting your assignment settings, select the blue Assign button on the bottom left of the Assign screen.
To return to the Gradebook from the Assign New section, select View Gradebook at the top left of the screen.
