How do administrators impersonate as staff and students ?

Administrators have the ability to impersonate as other users like Teacher or Students.
Administrators Impersonating as a Teacher
To impersonate as a teacher, log in to the GO! application and navigate to the Staff module.
The administrator will need to use the filters on the left side of the Staff page and click on Apply Filters button to search for the teacher.
After locating the teacher's name, click on the ellipsis icon next to the teacher details and click on the Impersonate option.

The administrator will be able to notice a modal pop-up - Impersonate User with the name of the person Impersonated. The user can either click on Impersonate button to continue the impersonation or click on X icon of the modal to close the Impersonate User modal.
The administrator will be redirected to the dashboard page of impersonated user in a new tab of the same browser. The user will notice a blue button “Close Session” along with the text , “You are currently logged in as impersonated user. Closing this session will clear all history and all data for this user” that stays on the top of the screen until the user closes the tab.
The “Close Session” label will stay on the screen during the entire impersonation session and it will be reflected in all modules of the GO ! application.

Modules that an Administrators Impersonated as a Teacher can Access
Administrators have READ - ONLY access as an Impersonated User. The changes completed by administrators will not be saved.
The modules administrators will be able to READ - ONLY access are :
- Classes
- Assignments
- Gradebook
- My Content - Assessment , Questions , Resources
- My Reports
- Announcements
- My Courses Widget
Administrators Impersonating as a Student
To impersonate as a student, there are two ways:
Impersonate as a Student via Student Tab
Log in to the GO ! application and navigate to the Students tab.
The administrator will need to use the filters on the left side of the Student page and click on the Apply Filters button to search the Student details.
After locating the student's name, click on the ellipsis icon next to the student details and click on the Impersonate option.

Impersonate as a Student via Gradebook Tab
Log in to the GO ! application and navigate to the Gradebook tab.
Administrators will need to use the filters on the left to select the school and teacher then click on the Apply Filters button.

Then select the class.

Click on the 
icon next to the student's name to impersonate as that student. The Student Information modal will be displayed to the administrator and the user can click on the Impersonate button.

Exiting an Impersonated Session
Click on Close Session button. Impersonate User modal will be displayed. Click on Exit Session button. The impersonated user session ends and the user will be returned to the previous browser tab where the user is still logged in.
