Within the Gallopade grade level course, teachers and administrators will find two types of resources within the course: Interactive and PDF. PDF resources can be viewed, projected on the board, and most can be printed and/or digitally assigned to be completed online.
All About PDF Resources
Within the Gallopade grade level course, teachers and administrators will find two types of resources within the course: Interactive and PDF. PDF resources can be viewed, projected on the board, and most can be printed and/or digitally assigned to be completed online.

Within the digital course, teachers and administrators will find a light yellow PDF label on these types of resources.

General Information
- If a PDF resource has an answer key, teachers and administrators will find it located on the resource card in a white label with blue text. Selecting this label will cause the resource to open in a pop-up window for access. Selecting the green Print button to the right of the Answer Key label will print this attached document.

- After selecting Open to preview a PDF resource as a teacher or administrator, you will have the ability to view the resource in full screen by selecting the icon in the top right corner.


Navigation
- Teacher's Edition and Student eBook: Users can use the table of contents on the left to quickly navigate through the sections of the resource by title and page number.

- All PDF resources: Users can use the arrows at the top of the page, select a page from the drop down menu, or select the thumbnail image to navigate to a specific page of a multi-page resource.

To show/hide the sidebar to expand the page, select the
icon on the top left of the screen.


To collapse/ show the toolbar on the right to expand the page, select the blue arrow.


Zoom In/Out
To zoom in/out, use the magnifying glasses on the bottom left of the screen.

To Fit to Width , Fit to Height of the screen , use the
on the bottom left of the screen next to zoom in/out icons.

Annotation Tools

Highlighter
To Highlight important words or phrases, select Highlighter from the toolbar on the right.

A Highlighter menu will appear on the left.

Select the highlighter color of choice then use the mouse to highlight text by clicking and dragging the mouse across the text.

To delete highlights, select the highlighted words then select Delete Highlight in the pop-up menu.

Annotate Text
Select Annotate Text from the toolbar on the right.

A toolbar will appear on the right side of the screen.

Then select the tool from the menu and select on the screen where you would like the tool to appear.

This toolbar allows users to add text using the Text tool or Sticky Note, draw on the page, highlight, add shapes and lines.
Users can also adjust the color, thickness and opacity of the drawing tools.
Important Tips for Using the Annotation Text Tools
- Select the green checkmark when finished editing to save your text box or sticky note and included text.
- To move your text box or sticky note on the screen, click and drag the four arrow icon.
- While editing an annotation, you can select the trashcan
icon to delete. - You can also remove annotations added with the Annotate Text tool by selecting the three lines
icon from the pop-up annotation menu and select Undo, Redo, or Clear Page Annotations.
Highlights and Annotations added by teachers or admin will be saved when exiting the resource. Users may want to delete saved annotations before displaying the same resource to another class.
Highlights and Annotations added by students in assigned resources will be saved when students select Save and Exit or Submit as Completed.
Read Aloud
To have the entire text read aloud, use the Listen button located in the top toolbar.

To have select text read aloud, highlight the text you want read aloud by clicking and dragging over the text with your mouse. Then select Listen from the pop-up menu.

Translate
Select the text you want translated by clicking and dragging your mouse over the text.

Then select Translate from the pop-up menu and a list of languages will appear.

After selecting a language, a pop-up will appear with the selected text translated.

To have the translated text read aloud, select the play button on the top left of the pop-up.
Page Mask
To use the Page Mask while viewing a PDF resource, select the arrow
in the top menu then select Page Mask in the drop down menu.


The Page Mask will move with your mouse up and down on the page.
Reading Ruler
To use the Reading Ruler while viewing a PDF resource, select the arrow
in the top menu then select Reading Ruler in the drop down menu.


The Reading Ruler will move with your mouse up and down on the page.
Printing PDF Resources
PDF Resources that are printable will have a green Print button on the resource card.

Selecting the Print button on the far right side of the resource card will print a blank copy of the resource.

Selecting the Print button to the right of the Answer Key label will print the Answer Key.
Teacher's Edition, Student eBook, and Image Galleries are not printable.
