Canvas and Schoology Users: How do students review their assignments?

Teacher should have enabled Review permissions to allow students to review their assignments.
Reviewing Interactive Type of Assignments
Examples of Interactive Types of Assignments
Interactive types of assignments include the Digital Student Books, Vocabulary Builders, Writing Prompts, Vocabulary Quizzes, ExperTrack Assessments, and more! These resources have a blue Interactive label on the resource card within the course.

The student can review the submitted assignment by clicking on the title of the assignment. After clicking on the assignment title displays the assignment in review mode to the student.

Clicking on Close Review button on the top right corner of the screen will display the below message to the student.

The student can click on Review button and it will navigate to the Assignment Overview page.

Clicking the Close Review button will redirect the student to the review message page, while clicking the Close Overview button will take them to the assignment questions. Depending on the teacher’s settings when releasing the assignment, the student can:
- Review Assignment Submission
- Review Graded Submission
- Review Graded Submission with Correct Answers.

The student with Review not Available will get the below message after clicking on the assignment title.

PDF types of assignments include Graphic Organizers, Let's Practice, Study Guides, and more! These resources have a yellow PDF label on the resource card within the course.

The student can review the submitted assignment by clicking on the title of the assignment. After clicking on the assignment title displays the below message to the student.

Clicking on the Review button will display the Assignment Overview page to the student. The student can click on Close Overview button and it will navigate to the Assignment page attempted by the student displaying annotations.


Clicking the Close Review button will redirect the student to the review message page. The same rule applies to PDF assignments as it does to interactive ones, provided the assignment is not set for review
