Canvas Users: How to add Gallopade Content to an Assignment

Important!
Your school district must select to roster for Gallopade Online with Canvas in order to integrate assignments from Gallopade Online.
Starting from the Teacher Dashboard of the Canvas application, select the desired Course Name.
Adding Content Item in the Module
Once the Canvas Admin has created the external tool/app, teachers need to create an assignment and choose “External tool”. Adding items via the Gallopade external tool into the selected module, the user should select the Gallopade “External Tool"

Based on the course selected, the assignment details are displayed in the module as below:

The courses will be assigned to the desired section by the teacher after clicking the Publish All button.
Viewing the Gallopade Content:
Teacher can easily view Gallopade content from within the Canvas Module by simply clicking on the content title.
The teacher will notice the Preview Activity tab of the Gallopade content.
Adding Gallopade Content from the Assignment / Module Screen
Teachers need to create an assignment and choose "External tool" under "Submission type" to make the external tool available for students. Please refer to these specific instructions from Canvas on how to add an assignment using an LTI external app.
Adding items via the Gallopade external tool into the selected module, the user selects the Gallopade “External Tool”.

The teacher can select the External Tool option from the Submission Type dropdown.


To create a new assignment with Gallopade content, the teacher begins by clicking the Add Assignment option from Canvas. After entering the assignment title, the teacher will have to select the Gallopade external tool, which launches the Gallopade Add Content selection screen.
The teacher then navigates the content hierarchy by clicking the > arrow displayed to the right of the desired unit name.

This action expands the navigation tree for the selected unit, revealing all associated lessons for selection.

After completing this process for each course, the teacher will be able to create the assignments within Canvas using the External Tool Option.
The teacher can select one or more assignment(s)/content(s) to import by using the Modules. They can also easily select an entire Lesson “folder”, Unit “folder” or the entire course to import in-mass. The teacher can choose how little or how much of the content to pull into Canvas and organize it in any way they wish.

Expand the Chapter / Unit node, to view the resources inside the Chapter. The Teachers can select up to one complete unit / chapter at a time using the header checkbox in front of the chapter name.

As the checkboxes of items are selected, the Add Content button at the bottom of the screen displays the count of the resources that has been selected.
Teachers can also preview the resource by clicking the Preview link. A preview modal will be displayed with a Back button.

Clicking the Back button will navigate to the content hierarchy. Clicking the Add Content button will display the added list of content in the Assignments section.
Viewing Assigned List of Assignments
The released assignments will be listed automatically to the list of assignments with green check mark on its right side.
