Teachers have the ability to create new groups to organize specific students, making it easier to assign content to those group of students.

A group can be associated with one or more classes. A student in the class can belong to one or more groups, either within a single class or across multiple classes.

To create a new group, select +Add Group button at the top right of the My Classes screen.

The teacher will be navigated to the Add New Group Screen.

Step 1: Add Group Information

  • Select Status from the dropdown
  • Select the drop down menu to select Classes
  • Optional: Key in the Description of a Group

Press Next to go to Step 2.

Step 2 : Add Students

Based on the classes selection from step 1, the classes are shown along with their respective students in the expanded view.

The teacher is allowed to use the  ^ arrow on the blue header next to Students count to collapse the classes header.

Each class header will display the Selected students for that class, and the Students count will reflect the total number of students in the class.

The teacher must select at least one student from each class to add to the created group.

If the teacher forgets to add a student from any class, a warning message will be displayed: 'At least one student must be selected from each class.'

The teacher can use the search box below the "Add Group Information" progression bubble to search for students from the selected classes.

After adding the students, select Save/Next blue button on the bottom right of the screen to go to Step 3.
