Custom Content: How to Combine Assessments
The Combine Assessment feature allows teachers to combine two or more ExperTrack Assessments, Vocabulary Quizzes, or Custom Assessments into one custom assessment.
Updated July 3rd, 2026

The Combine Assessments feature within the My Content section of the Gallopade Online platform allows teachers to combine two or more ExperTrack Assessments, Vocabulary Quizzes, or Custom Assessments.
Once assessments are combined, teachers will have the opportunity to add additional questions or remove questions using Steps 3 and 4 before saving the new Custom assessment. This feature is a great option for building unit tests or creating your own benchmark assessments.
Selecting Assessments to Combine
Starting on the Assessments tab of the Custom Content feature, this section allows teachers to view, manage, combine and organize all available assessments. In the Filter Assessments panel, make sure to select the correct grade level course at the top of the screen. (This step is only needed if you teach more than one grade level course.)

Teachers can combine assessments using ExperTrack, Vocab Quizzes, Custom Assessments (created manually from a pool of questions), Custom ExperTrack, and Custom Quizzes. Please note that Digital Student Books and Custom DSB's cannot be combined, and therefore, the selection checkbox will not be available for them.
Teacher Selection and Filter Application
- The Teacher can choose one option from Gallopade Content, My Assessments, or Shared Collections by selecting the corresponding radio button.
- After making the necessary filter selections, click Apply Filters button. The teacher may want to use the filters on the left side of the screen to narrow down the list of assessments or use the search bar.
- The right side of the screen will then display the corresponding assessment based on the chosen filters.

A column of checkboxes will appear to the left of the assessment titles for all ExperTrack Assessments, Vocabulary Quizzes, and Custom Assessments. The combine feature is not available for Digital Student Books / ClickBooks.
- While selecting assessments, the Combine Assessment button remains disabled.
- The Cancel button is enabled, allowing the user to exit the combine assessment process at any time
.

Then select Combine Assessments button at the top right.

A Combine Assessment modal will open allowing you to rename your new assessment.
If you decide to not edit the name, it will default to “Combined (the first selected assessment name)”

Pressing Save button from the modal box will save the assignment name and navigate to Step 2.
Reviewing Your Newly Combined Assessment on Step 2
After pressing Save on the Combine Assessment pop-up modal, the teacher will be navigated to Step 2: Finalize Questions. This screen displays a list of all the questions added to the assessment. The teachers can click on the Previous button to navigate to the Step 1 of Assessment Information.
