How do I Copy / Edit a Custom Resource ?

The copy a Custom Resource feature within the Custom Content section of the Gallopade Online platform allows teachers to copy and assign Custom resources. Once they are copied, teachers will have to assign them to their respective class.

Copying Gallopade Resource
Select the grade level course from the dropdown list. Use the Filter Assessments on the left side of the page to locate a Gallopade resource.

After locating the resource name, select the ellipsis
and notice that Copy option will be displayed. Select Copy from the pop out menu.

A Copy and Edit modal will be displayed. The system automatically appends the prefix “Copy of” to the duplicated resource name. The teacher has the option to rename the copied resources before proceeding. To finalize the action, the teacher clicks the Create Copy button.

Copying Assigned Custom Resources
Same as the above scenario, the teacher will have to locate the My Resources which is in assigned status.

After locating the assessment name, select the ellipsis
and notice that Copy option will be displayed. Select Copy from the pop out menu.

A Copy and Edit modal will be displayed. A resource in Editing status cannot be copied. The teacher can click on the Edit button to Edit a resource on Editing status.

Clicking on the Create Copy button will navigate the teacher to the Step 1 of Edit Resource page displaying the Resource Information.

Copying Unassigned Custom Resources
Same as the above scenarios, the teacher will have to locate the Custom Resources which is not assigned to any class.

After locating the resources name, select the ellipsis
and notice that Copy option will be displayed. Select Copy from the pop out menu.

A Copy and Edit modal will be displayed. A resource in Editing status cannot be copied. The teacher can click on the Edit button to Edit the resource on Editing status.

Clicking on the Create Copy button will navigate the teacher to the Step 1 of Edit Resource page displaying the Resource Information.
Editing Status of a Custom Resource
Same as the above scenarios, the teacher will have to locate the Custom Resources which is in Editing status.

After locating the resources name, select the ellipsis
and notice that Copy option will be displayed. Select Copy from the pop out menu.

A resource in Editing status cannot be copied; therefore, clicking the Copy option will open the Edit feature instead.

Clicking on the Edit button will navigate the teacher to the Step 1 of Edit Resource page displaying the Resource Information.
Editing a Resource
The Edit button is located on the far right of the resource title and is used to edit an resource. Its behavior varies depending on the status and type of the resource, as outlined below.
Case A: Edit an Assigned Gallopade resource : Click the Edit button on the far right of the selected resource title. When the teacher clicks the Edit button, the system displays the Copy and Edit modal with Create Copy and Cancel buttons.
A Gallopade resource cannot be edited; therefore, selecting the Edit option will open the Copy feature instead.


Clicking on the Create Copy button will navigate the teacher to the Step 1 of Edit Resource page displaying the Resource Information.
Case B: To edit an Assigned Custom resource, click the Edit button on the far right of the selected resource title. When the teacher clicks the Edit button, the system displays the Edit modal.


Clicking on the Create Copy button will navigate the teacher to the Step 1 of Edit Resource page displaying the Resource Information.
Case C: To edit an Unassigned status Custom resource, click the Edit button on the far right of the selected resource title. When the teacher clicks the Edit button, the system displays the Edit modal.


Clicking on the Edit button will navigate the teacher to the Step 1 of Edit Resource page displaying the Resource Information.
Case D: To edit an Editing status Custom resource, click the Edit button on the far right of the selected resource title. When the teacher clicks the Edit button, the system displays the Edit modal.


Clicking on the Edit button will navigate the teacher to the Step 1 of Edit Resource page displaying the Resource Information.
Moving to Step 1: Resource Information
The teachers are allowed to edit the resource information after entering into a Edit and Copy phase of Resource. In Resource Information (Step 1), the teacher is allowed to edit:
- Resource Title
- Select Course
- Resource Description

Navigate to the progression bubble (Step2: Add Resource) to edit. The user is allowed to change the resource type.

Moving to Step 2: Add Resource
In Step 2 – Add Resource, teachers can edit the resource by selecting a different Resource Type from the dropdown menu.

The Resource Type dropdown allows teachers to change the existing resource type to URL, Document, Text, HTML, or Image, depending on the type of content they want to add or edit.

Teachers can navigate directly to Step 3 – Standards/Units and Chapters by clicking the corresponding progress bubble. After making any updates, teachers can click the Save button to save their changes or click Next to proceed to the next step.

Moving to Step 3: Add Standards and Unit and Chapters
The teacher can add new standards and units or chapters by clicking on the + Add Standard and + Add Unit and Chapter buttons.

Teachers can add additional standards by clicking the + Add Standard button. This opens the Standard Selection modal, where teachers can browse and select one or more standards using the checkboxes. After making their selections, teachers can click the Save button to add the selected standards to the resource.

Teachers can new units and chapers by clicking on +Add Unit and Chapter button. This opens the Course and Unit, Chapter/Lesson Selection modal, where teachers can browse and select one or more courses using the checkboxes. After making their selections, teachers can click the Save button to add the selected standards to the resource.

Moving to Step 4: Summary/ Save
Step 4 screen allows teachers to review resource details, set the resource status, optionally share the resource with collections, and choose how to save or assign the resource.

If the teacher clicks on progression bubble (Step 4: Summary/Save), the teacher is allowed to save the changes.
Locating Copy of a Custom Resource
To locate the copy of custom resource, teachers should make sure to select the correct grade level course at the top. Then use the My Resource filter to narrow down the list of resources by clicking in Apply Filter button.
